Cultural Programmes

Pongal Celebration

Every year, it is customary for the school to hold a Pongal celebration. The aim is to teach our Indian students the background and significance of celebrating the Pongal festival. Items related to Pongal are displayed in the classroom. Competitions related to Pongal are conducted for the students. The students enthusiastically participate in activities such as colouring, making greeting cards, and creating e-Pongal advertisements.

Learning Journey

The students participated in the Tamil Month programme held at the Umar Pulavar Tamil Language Centre.

Students:

• Gained an introduction to the traditional arts of the Tamil community and also had opportunities to learn through hands-on activities.

• Took part in language and culture based learning experiences beyond the classroom in an engaging and enjoyable manner.

Deepavali Celebration

The Deepavali cultural performance highlighted the significance of Deepavali to the students by incorporating the theme of darkness giving way to light and linking it with the school’s values.
