Environmental Science Programme
Environmental Science Programme provides pupils with opportunities to apply the science knowledge, processes and attitudes acquired from across disciplines to real-life environmental issues, allowing their learning to be relevant, meaningful and enjoyable.
The programme imparts knowledge and raises awareness about the environment. It also fosters appreciation of the environment and instils values in pupils so that they make informed decisions and take responsible action in conserving the environment.
Si Ling Pupils CARE: Conserve, Appreciate and Respect the Environment
Environmental Science Programme adopts the 3H approach which covers 3 key developmental domains – HEAD (knowledge & skills acquisition), HEART (values acquisition) and HANDS (participation & contribution) to develop pupils who continuously use concepts, skills and processes to inquire into phenomena related to the environment, think creatively and critically in solving environmental problems, communicate and work effectively in teams and have strong conviction in bettering the environment.
